OttemFox received a $5,000 Playwriting Fellowship from the state of Florida, and was the only artist recognized in another discipline that year, receiving an Honorable Mention in Fiction Writing.
howtobehappy, a novel set on the eve of Yugoslavia’s disastrous civil war, is currently making the rounds. A new novel, The Map of the Enigmas, about a mysterious woman who has seemingly lived forever, is currently in development. Other novels include The Nickel Saints, an apocalyptic novel wherein the apocalypse encounters a serious glitch.
A lyricist and composer, OttemFox is an alumnus of the BMI Musical Theater Workshop in New York City, studying with Maury Yeston and Richard Enquist. Acting coaches include Tony Greco and Stephen Drewes; acting credits include productions in New York at the Manhattan Theater Club and The Theater for the New City, and in assorted regional theaters.
